What Inspires You?

Hey guys! I'm baaaaack! My surgery went really well on Friday February 5th, I stayed a hellish night in the hospital and then came home on Saturday! Now I'm busy recooping! Thanks so much to all you well-wishers, I'm sooo glad to be back, you have no idea! Instead of blabbing on about my surgery like I was thinking about doing, I thought I'd celebrate my return by doing a more happier post on some of my inspirations while I've been busy writing Devour!

This first video is of a new song by Norah Jones called Chasing Pirates that I've listened to several times already during my writing time. Devour has nothing to do with pirates obviously, but the song is smooth, fun, and flirty and the lyrics remind me of love, which definitely appears in Devour! :)

This next video is a song from a TV show called Glee which I absolutely adore! All of the songs have inspired in me in some way or another, but the song "Rain on My Parade" is extra amazing, because it always seems to give me that extra little push of confidence that I need whenever I get stuck on the story! (plus, I totally <3 Rachel's dress in the video!)

And last, but certainly not least, this video is of something that always inspires me no matter what I'm doing and that will definitely not be lacking in Devour: a perfect kiss! :)

Aren't those the best! Now it's your turn! What inspires you when you write?

P.S. For some reason I can't copy and paste the entire embed codes for all of those videos into this post, so until I figure out what's going on, you'll have to go the links to watch each video, sorry! :(

Awww, thanks Frankie! :D So what are you up to now that you've finished writing your book? Are you taking a break and letting it sit for a while or did you jump right in after you finished writing it and start on revisions??

Chocolate. Oh, and music from movie soundtracks. They always build or flow perfectly for whatever I'm writing.
