Author Appreciation Week!

Hola from Mexico, my lovely readers!

It's been a crazy couple of days, what with packing, traveling and arriving in Mexico! I'm finally starting to get into a routine, which consists of sleeping in, waking up and slipping into my swimsuit and spending the day by the pool or at the beach, basking in the 88 degree weather and stuffing my face with fresh Mexican food everyday.:P It's lovely and long overdue, unfortunatly, I already have some nasty sunburn, but besides that I've had an awesome time working on my tan, catching up on my reading and totally avoiding my homework, haha.

Speaking of reading, onto the point of this post! I just found out yesterday that this week happens to be Author Appreciation Week! Basically what that means is that from the 15-19, we, the readers, blog about the authors we appreciate and why (to find out more detailed info about this event, go to the blog of Heidi R. Kling, the mastermind behind this awesome event)!
Now, onto the first author I appreciate: Nicholas Sparks! Now, I know he's not a YA author, but his characters, at some point in his novels, are teenagers, so I say he counts. :P Anywho, one of the reasons I appreciate Nicholas Sparks is because of his ability to make me cry. He writes kick ass love stories about couples who experiance their share of hardship and tradgedy in thier personal lives and in their relationship, but the one thing that is always constant and true in each novel he writes is the deep, passionate, unconditional love that the different couples in his novels feel. It's so universal and real, you just can't help but believe in true love once you've finished reading one of his books, they're so good, they stay with you long after the book has closed and you always cry at the end, (at least, I do). :) So Nick, thanks sooo much for writing such amazing novels and making me believe that finding true love is possible. Plus, it doesn't hurt that your very easy on the eyes as well... :P
