Ending the Year Write

I've been a very bad writer this past year, but I'm going to be better next year, I swear! No more of this working on college classes instead of writing and lying to my aspiring author students when they ask if I've done any writing over the weekend. No, I'm going to do better in the new year!

And to both end and begin the year on the right foot I've spent the past three days seeing if I've still got it (as if I ever had it) by entering Heather's Holiday Contest over at her blog My Demon Spirits.

Enter a contest, sounds simple, right? Wrong, nothing is ever simple with me. I almost made it this time, but then I stopped by Michael's blog to check out his entry. Big mistake! After being blown away by both his writing and his graphic design abilities I couldn't take the shame of posting my plain text story, so I decided to try something new.

Note: It has to buffer before you can view it.

Oh wow. Thank you for the shout out but your entry is absolutely incredible. I love the autoplay, the whole powerpoint presentation, the actual story...OMG this is amazing.

I'm going to tweet about this.

I'm stunned.

I'm truly speechless, my mind is whirring. You amaze me, I need to take a technology class because I couldn't even begin to compete with you in any contest! Thanks for entering.

That was simply wonderful.

I read it this morning (watched it?) and came back to do it again and left my comment this time.

This seems like the future of short stories.
