Get to know me!

The basic details:
Ella. 20 (but not in my head, in my head I’m still forever 16). Reader. Writer. Soon-to-be college Sophmore. Acrobat (haha, I wish!).

Why do you write?
I write because I can’t imagine doing anything else, being a Pediatrician or vet is out of the question, too much school. And blood. At least when I write, the blood will be on paper and easily cleaned by the simple scrub of an eraser.

What do you write?

I write young adult fiction, sometimes poems, the occasional song lyric, and all over my palm and sometime up my arm. Oh, and I contribute posts to this fabulous blog.

Describe yourself in three words. (Don’t use the words ‘nice’, ‘pretty’ or ‘good’ because your Grade Six teacher will read this and be very disappointed).
Curious
Dreamer
Juggler (not! :P)

If you were a superhero, what would be your name, power and costume?
My name would be Miss Salami Extraordinaire, because I love meat, my power would be to have the ability to become invisible at will to be able to eavesdrop on important, top-secret conversations, such as the gift someone is thinking of getting me for my birthday and my costume would be a cute yellow sundress and sandals, with a cape of course, so I’ll always be ready to hit the beach on a nice day but also be prepared to save the world and kick some evil villain ass!

Complete this sentence: When I’m not reading or writing I’m…
Thinking up ways of how to make ALL food healthy so that you won’t gain a pound, even after eating the bad stuff, like Ben and Jerry’s.

Who are your heroes?
My family, my friends and aspiring/published young adult authors. They all ROCK and are great sources of strength and encouragement when things get tough, they let me know I’m not alone.

Complete this sentence: When I grow up, I want to be…
A published young adult fiction author, happy, and never lacking in childish enthusiasm and imagination!

Favorite quotes:
“You’ll never turn your back on the dead if you know what’s good for you.”-Callum, from my ghost story

Where do you see yourself in five years time?

Published, happy, deeply in love and hopefully in a committed relationship with someone who loves writing young adult fiction as deeply and as passionately as I do. Oh, and this person MUST love dogs, if they don’t, this relationship is never going to work out, seriously.

What would you love to be able to do?
Play guitar-well, become invisible, see into the future.

What’s one thing you’d like to see before you die?
London, England! And Scotland! And possibly Romainia, home of Dracula, that’d be Sveet!

At what age will you start writing your autobiography and what will it be called?
I’ll start writing it...tonight, (no, I joke) probably after I publish my first book. It will be called: “The day the Ink Ran Dry: One Rockstar Author’s Courageous Story as They Teetered on the Brink of Death” or, that’s the working title anyway.

Favorite books and authors:
Oh, they’re just too many fabulous books to name! So, I’ll name my current faves: The Sister’s Grimm series, Princess Ben, Wings, Blue is for Nightmares series and, of course, the Harry Potter and Twilight series! Hip, hip, horay for hot vamps and wizards everywhere!

Favorite songs, bands and genres:
Mostly classic rock, like the Beatles, and the Temptations, but also some current stuff, like John Mayer and Smashing Pumpkins

Favorite movies and TV shows:
Gilmore Girls, Everwood, Supernatural, all the Harry Potter movies and Twilight
