Write Your A$$ Off!
First off, I just want to say thank you for the lovely comments I received on my last post. They made me hopeful and I ended up feeling much better after reading them, not as hopeless. I'm glad to know I'm not alone in this, so thank you again! :D <3
In other news, earlier today, after reading some inspiring blog posts from around the blogosphere, I realized something: As much as I want my pesky little muse to do its job and shower me with buckets of inspiration and brilliant ideas 24/7, I know that's not going to happen, at least not as much as I want to, so I figured out that I can't always wait for inspiration and good ideas to come to me, sometimes I have to go track them down myself. And then of course, a little while after I realized that, ideas started to come to me, lol! Imagine that!
And then, I discovered something else, the icing on the cake, if you will: Write Your Ass Off, created by Chloe at The Daily Snark. Her idea is to dub this Sunday Write Your Ass Off day, where she and anyone else who is interested will write as much as they can on Sunday by setting a writing goal and seeing if they meet that goal by the end of the day of Sunday and then on Monday report back to her blog and tell whether or not they met their goal.
Well, of course, as soon as I read that idea, I loved it and so, feeling inspired (thanks, muse!) I thought it would be fun if I did something similar! Except my version of Write Your Ass Off will be, WYAO-weekend addition! That's right, instead of doing WYAO for one day, I going to do it for three! So, here's how this will work:
From Friday, August 6-Sunday, August 8, I'm going to write 1,000 words a day of...something. (I have no idea what I'm going to write about, I'm just going to dive in and start writing and see where I end up! This should be interesting!) And hopefully, by Sunday I'll have 3,000 shiny new words (or more!) under my belt!
Sound like fun? If your interested in joining me for Write Your Ass Off, leave me a comment saying what you'll be working on from Friday-Sunday and what your goal is. Also, feel free to stop by throughout the weekend and update the rest of us on your progress! On Monday, stop by and let us know how you did on tackling your goal! :D
Hope to see you this weekend, the more the merrier! :D
