Blogger Game - 10 Random Facts About Me

Here's a blogger game to help Rach's Campaigners get to know each other.

Here's the deal:
I post 10 random facts about myself, and if this kind of game interests you/ you want to get to know the other Campaigners you'll post 10 random facts about you on your blog. Oh, and if you decide to play make sure to post a link to your blog in the comments so I pop over and check it out.

1. I spend my lunch break reading in the middle of the teachers' lounge.

2. 98% of people don't have enough room in their mouths for all their teeth. I'm one of the 2% who does.

3. I hate it when experienced teachers call me a "baby teacher." I just want to lean against the wall and say, "My age is a sign of my dedication. I can deal with being the youngest person in the room, why can't you? "

4. I have no problem eating raw fish. It's the funky rice that turns me off sushi.

5. When I have problems sleeping I watch MacGyver on my i-Pod, and I'm out within 10 minutes.

6. People with so much hair spray in their hair that it doesn't move... ever... scare me. There's such a thing as too much perfection.

7. I have two separate wardrobes: one for school and one for anywhere but school.

8. The only makeup I'll wear is eyeshadow and not that skin colored stuff either. Purple, black, yellow, blue: if I'm going to go to the trouble of putting it on I want to make darn sure people know I'm wearing it.

9. I've wanted a tattoo since I was 13, and since I was 13 I've known I'd get it the week I became a teacher.

10. My first tattoo is going to be of a hummingbird even though I think they're the ugliest little critters in the world, like flying mice from the underworld.

I will now forever think of hummingbirds as the flying mice of the underworld lol

I finished my own here: http://www.kthanna.com/2011/09/writer-campaign-game/

Lol on #5, I used to love watching that show!

Great way to learn more about you! I'll have to go think up my 10 things now. :)

Hi Aaron, Fellow campaigner here. I don't think I'll do this on my blog, but it's a great idea! You made me chuckle a few times. Flying mice from the underworld? I don't agree, but I love the concept.

New follower here. I hope you'll stop by my place when you have a chance!

The eyes are the windows to the soul, they say, so highlighting your eyes makes you and any girl more beautiful. IMO. I'm a campaigner too. www.richard-writingandliving.blogspot.com

Do you guys notice there appears to be a thread running through these bios -- teeth? I need to go back to mine and add a number 11, tooth-related item.

But...they're so brightly colored! How can they be from the underworld?

(Made me laugh though, haha)

Hey! I am a fellow science fiction campaigner.

Ha ha ha. I love this. You and I are a lot alike. I read in the break room on my lunch break, only wear eyeshadow people can see and am also the youngest person in my job. I also have known what I was going to be since I was young.

"1. I spend my lunch break reading in the middle of the teachers' lounge." - Ha! This one grabbed me. I often have to slip out of my lunchroom halfway through lunch to go read somewhere. I have this wall hanging that says "Books are Better than People". . . presented without further comment. ;)

Anyway, hi! I'm a fellow dystopian/post-apoc campaigner. :)

LOL Okay now I must ask. If you think hummingbirds are so terrible, why do you want one forever inked on your body? ;)

Too funny! Love your ten random facts.

I'm a fellow campaigner and came by to say hello. Cool blog! Nice to meet you and hope you have fun and success during the challenge.

I agree about the hair spray but sushi, I love it. - fellow campaigner from Sydney.

Fellow post-apocalyptic/dystopian campaigner dropping in to say hi.

I feel you on the 'baby teacher' thing, although I'm not a teacher. I do look very young for my age, though (people peg me at 16-18, I'm 24) and the condescending bullcrap that results from it gets very old, very fast.

How are hummingbirds ugly? They are tiny and adorable!

The Blogger Girlz said...

In reality, they probably aren't ugly, but it's a personal preference thing. I like big animals.

Hi Aaron. I'm in your scifi group on the campaign. You're right, this is a fun way to get to know people. Now, I wonder if I could think up 10 things about me.

Maria Zannini said...

It's a great list, Aaron!

I'm in the dystopian group. Maybe I'll try this random fact list for Monday.

I wholeheartedly agree about the hairspray! *Shudder* I knew a girl in college who had the exact same hairdo every day--a petrified poof on top of her head--and it really gave me the willies.

And I'm in your Fantasy group for the Campaign (you? Ella? Both?), so I look forward to getting to know you. I like this 10 random facts idea, so I'll see about doing it on my own blog tomorrow. :)

Hey, I'm in your YA campaign group. I'm also part of the 2% teeth club. I think it drives my dentists crazy. I've had three of them since my wisdom teeth came in 15 years ago, and they've all wanted to yank them out. I'm always like, "Why, there's plenty of room?" And they always say they're hard to keep clean. Uh, thanks very much, but I think I can handle pushing the toothbrush back a little further to avoid painful surgery.

Nicole Zoltack said...

How fun!

When I worked a traditional job, I read or wrote during lunch.

One of the 98% but haven't had my wisdom teeth taken out yet.

I love sushi.

I hate the stiff feeling of hairspray. It's why I hardly use it.

Fellow campaigner here - we're in the same adult fiction group. I write just about everything - from PBs on up to adults. Looking forward to getting better acquainted!
