Ready. Set. Write!

Recently, I was browsing through my blog reading listing looking for something interesting to read and suddenly I stumbled across the following phrase: "Ready. Set. Write!" Intrigued, and always on the lookout for a fun, new writing challenge, I decided to investigate further to try and find out more information about what exactly this was.

And basically what I discovered is that a group of writer friends got together and came up with the idea to create a summer writing intensive where you write for two whole months on whatever project you want as long as your writing and set daily/weekly/monthly goals and update everyone your progress once a week, and that's how Ready. Set. Write! was born!  Sounds fun, right?

The intensive's been going on since June 11th, but I figure better late than never, right?  And your supposed to post updates on your progress every Wednesday as part of the What's up Wednesday meme, but since that's Aaron's day to post here, I'll post my updates on Mondays so I don't risk stealing Aaron's thunder. :)

On that note, I'm going to try and set daily goals for this intensive and as of right now, they are:

  • Write at least 1K words a day on my WIP for Book in a Month Club
  • Work on my Seekrit Project whenever I have time or need a break from my other WIP

So as you can see, my goals are pretty simple, but having something like RSW to help keep me accountable will be a HUGE help as I continue writing this summer! :)
